The Rest of the Robots
By Isaac Asimov
Cover artist: Jack Gaughan
The Rest of the Robots is another set of stories by the man who wrote more robot stories than any other writer, and features another brilliant robot cover by Jack Gaughan. Though not quite as good as Asimov's earlier I, Robot collection of stories -- and with not nearly as good a title -- nevertheless this collection contains many excellent robot stories. And, while the eight stories that make up this volume are blessed fun to read and together create a robot anthology that is surely one of the finest ever published, it is Asimov's autobiographical introductions to each of the stories that make this book a fascinating read and adds to making this a must-have book for any science fiction/robot fan. Especially interesting is his lead introduction which is a discourse on the robot story in literature and Asimov's unique place in it.
